ALBERTO SINIGAGLIA

Alberto Sinigaglia (1984, Vicenza) works and lives in Vicenza. He obtained a BA in Architecture at Iuav University in Venice, then completed his education in Photography in Milan. He also attended the Photoglobal Program at SVA School of Visual Art in New York. He is the cofounder of studio Kassel&Wassel and MAIBSH project. In 2014 he was one of the winners of the 98th Young Artists' Group Show at Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation (Venice), as well as being shortlisted for Review Santa Fe (New Mexico). He was included in several group shows in Italy and abroad; his volume Big Sky Hunting was published in 2014 by Editions du Lic /Skinnerboox. In 2015 is was shortlisted for Italian Photography Award under40 and Basilico Prize. He also got a special mention at Graziadei Award in Rome. In 2016 he was invited to participate to Brighton Photo Fringe and to the collective exhibition Look At the Sky in Barcelona. In the same year his newest series Microwavecity was featured in the show Agenda Independent, part of Arte Fiera art fair program. In 2017 he held two solo shows, within Sguardo Italiano 2 program, at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of S. Gimignano (SI) and at the Museums of Antico Palazzo dei Vescovi in Pistoia. In the same year he was one of the finalists of Talent Prize, winner of Francesco Fabbri Prize for Contemporary Photography and of Combat Prize / Premio Fattori Contemporaneo. Thanks to the latter he held in 2018 the personal exhibition, Microwave City, at the Museo Civico Fattori in Livorno.
